correct way because there's so many different things that you can sell on etsy if you're an artist or you like making jewelry or you just literally have a brain you can make money using etsy because there's millions of people on etsy but there's so much less competition on etsy because it is relatively new in the e-commerce game and there's so many different things that you can sell especially if you're artistic and you like actually creating crafts or doing things like that you know custom phone cases all sorts of things so you know what i'm going to show right now is is a method that i've used and my students have used for years making t-shirts about controversial things so you think about a t-shirt it's literally an advertisement that someone is choosing to wear in public right so people who feel very strongly about things are likely to wear a t-shirt advertisement and the cool thing is you can actually see just how many sales these t-shirts are generally getting right um you can see that this one has 2 337 reviews that means that generally you get about a one to three percent review ratio which means that they've sold literally tens of thousands of these t-shirts right here um and you can see that they're literally just taking these t-shirts buying them in bulk for you know three dollars creating a basic design screen printing it and then selling them right there's also other ways you can do this where you can drop ship the t-shirts from places like printful and then sell it for more on places like etsy and that way you can actually do this completely for free completely for free so udemy if we go and actually search a popular topic like amazon fba shopify or click funnels for example um you can see a little old guy right here um which is yours truly um is handle all of the fulfillment for you they'll actually do the screen printing they'll package the t-shirt they'll send it out to your customer they do everything and you actually make a percentage fee just for actually creating the design and creating the listing now i personally have made thousands of dollars from merch by amazon just doing the strategy that i talked about earlier actually creating designs on controversial topics that people feel very strongly about because when there's controversy and there's polarity that means that people are interested in talking that means that you can actually take advantage of market trends and big news events where you can create a clever design and you can do research on sites like redbubble on amazon itself on etsy on all of these different large platforms that actually have big t-shirt marketplaces where you can do research and see based on social proof in the form of the amount of reviews how many t-shirts of that particular design are likely to have sold and then what you can do is if you're a graphic designer make a similar design or something that's improved in some way or even hire somebody off of websites like fiverr to actually make you a better version of an already popular design upload it to merch by amazon and then all you have to do is make a basic listing and if you don't know how to do that then literally just go on amazon and type in trump t-shirts you can see that there's 1745 reviews with this murica t-shirt where he's wearing an american flag do-rag and some sunglasses and impeach this so you know some funny designs um you can see that these have thousands of reviews so you know with a one percent review ratio uh that means that a hundred times more than this have actually sold which means that it's likely that they've sold you know tens of thousands hundreds of thousands of t-shirts and they're most likely at this price point netting four to five dollars profit on each t-shirt which means
